Are you into Thanksgiving-weekend sports? Shopping? Family time? How about adding the fun of giving thanks for all the birds and nature to this special weekend by joining us for a birding outing! We’ve made fall outings at this lovely park a birding tradition, and we hope you will join us on our 1+mile loop as we explore the fields, woods edges and pond area together.

At this time of year, we will especially be looking for the yellow-bellied sapsuckers, white-throated sparrows and juncos who have arrived to spend the winter, and some of our favorite year-round residents such as the great blue herons, and red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks. We may discover wood ducks, or even a late-migrating green heron again, such as one we've found there other years.

The path is wide and paved and our pace is easy, perfect for birders of all abilities and experience levels. New birders are especially welcome, as are children if accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. There are accessible restrooms on site.

Note*: This Park has two entrances. Be sure to use the Lee Road Entrance.*

Where Lee Road dead ends at the main park entrance, turn LEFT and follow the road all the way to where it ends at the All-Abilities Playground parking lot. We will meet there. (GPS: 3GFW+C79)
