for new singers in the lead, baritone, and bass sections. We welcome women and nonbinary singers.How Do I Audition?
Starting September 9th, interested singers should plan to attend a minimum of three rehearsals and then schedule an audition no later than October 28.How Do I Know My Voice Part?
Lead is a melody part with approximate range A3 to C5
Baritone is a harmony part with approximate range A3 to C5
Bass is a harmony part with approximate range Eb3 to G4Sound like secret code to you?! No worries, come to a rehearsal and we'll match your voice to one of our parts.
Why Should I Audition By October 28?
- Receive expert weekly instruction
- Perform with the chorus at the Players Club of Swarthmore
- Receive coaching from world-class faculty
- Compete with the chorus at Regional contest in April 2026
Who Should Join?
- Women and non-binary singers 18+ seeking a creative outlet
- Music enthusiasts - singers who also love to dance or act
- Singers eager to grow through performance and communityWe welcome new singers who love to perform and enjoy working together to develop their skills! We need all types of voices, and there is a place for everyone in barbershop harmony. Singing experience and skills such as music reading are helpful, but not essential. Many of our members had no formal singing experience before joining the chorus, and we provide a variety of learning tools.
