🗡️ Macbeth - ambition, prophecy, guilt

Something wicked this way comes... to Vancouver!
This month, we are diving into Shakespeare’s shortest, bloodiest, and fastest-moving tragedy: Macbeth. Whether you’re a die-hard Shakespeare fan or you haven't read this since high school English class, come join us for a relaxed evening of discussion.

What we’ll discuss:

  • Are the Witches actually controlling fate, or is Macbeth just easily manipulated?
  • Lady Macbeth: Ultimate villain or tragic figure?
  • The "Curse" of the Scottish Play.
  • Our favorite movie adaptations (Denzel? Fassbender? Patrick Stewart?).

Why this one
Two people chase power, then power chases them. We’ll look at ambition, prophecy as a self‑fulfilling KPI, partner pressure, and the PR problem of guilt.
