The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, often referred to as the “Castle in the City,” stands as an iconic symbol of Vancouver’s rich history and architectural grandeur. Since its grand opening in 1939, this historic hotel has been a witness to the city’s evolution, playing a pivotal role in its cultural and social tapestry. Today’s unique photowalk and tour will provide us with insight into that history.
We will meet in front of the concierge station (near the main elevators in the lobby) at 1:15. The tour starts at 1:30 and will be about an hour long.
The FHV has decided on the amount of people that can attend. You may use your phone, or bring your camera. No tripods, flash photography, or taking photos of the hotel patrons. Any photos taken are for your personal use only and may not be used commercially in any way.
Taking transit is your best option, but there is metered street parking and several parking garages nearby, including an expensive one at the hotel.
