HIKE DESCRIPTION
I've recreated and extended this route so much that it no longer resembles the originals. It's a lot of fun for scrambling and has some nice views at the top as well. There are a lot of large rocks to get up and around. We'll pass through a tall and narrow corridor, walk along a narrow ledge, squeeze through a tight crack in the rock and go past a diabolically positioned rock. There are some other obstacles to climb and some steep elevation gain that will get your heart pumping.
We'll take a completely different route up to the "tower" and then come down a new way which will incorporate some new paths and some old favorites. It involves more scrambling with tougher obstacles. The distance is much greater, so be prepared to spend more time scrambling.
Not for beginners or those afraid of heights. There are many places that require advanced scrambling skills and there is some exposure. You must be able to pull your body weight up and lower yourself down using your arms.
• Helmets are always welcome. Be sure to use one that doesn't block your sight.
• Always carry "in case of emergency" numbers with you.
• No guests will be allowed without my prior approval.
YOU MUST BE ON THE "GOING" LIST IN ORDER TO GO ON THIS HIKE. CRASHING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
