Hip, hip, hooray! Join our fabulous host, Dr. Edelita Jamis, on the West Side for her monthly Vegan potluck that typically attracts 30+ people, starting at 2pm on Sunday, November 9! This potluck also features guest speaker, Dr. Heather Gosnell, who will speak on the science behind whole food, plant-based eating. We’ll debunk common myths and highlight which foods to embrace or limit. Leave empowered with practical tips to reduce your risk of chronic disease.

We'll dine on some of Nature's finest bounty, and your taste buds will hum with joy as you sample each mouth-watering delight created by potluck attendees. We’ll also be building a footbridge to others, by making new friends as gentle as surf on a sandy shore; that brings out the best in each of us, and is as rousing as the sound of a bugle! Take a tour for your taste buds, and feel wrapped in an invisible warmth of love, by joining us on the West Side!

This is a VEGAN potluck, so please bring a Vegan, or Raw Vegan dish, to share with others. Also, in an attempt to cut down on costs/waste, this is a "green" event, so please bring your own plate, utensils, and drinking cup.(Water, ice tea, decaffeinated tea will be provided.) Also, if you could list the ingredients of your dish, that would be helpful to people with allergy issues.

NOTE: This is a VEGAN potluck. For those not familiar with the term "vegan," that generally means foodstuffs free from animal products and their derivatives. This includes all dairy products, honey, and whey.

Dr. Gosnell is a physician, wife, mother, veteran, business owner, and plant-based health coach. She has been studying nutrition for over 8 years. She holds a BS from University of Maryland and an MD from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She also hold a plant-based coaching certification from Food Revolution Network with over 100 hours of coach-specific training.
