WEDNESDAY MORNING BIRDWATCHING - KAISERWASSER/ALTE DONAU

Right next to the VIC is the Kaiserwasser, one of the many branches of the Danube, which survived the major regulation of 1870. Here on these channels were the Imperial Grain Mills which gave Kaisermühlen its name. Nowadays the Kaiserwasser is a biosphere reserve in the middle of Vienna. We will have a relaxed morning walk along Alte Donau, and we are optimistic to see some of the interesting birds which are living here (among them herons, owls, kingfishers, singing birds and so on).

We will meet at U1 Station VIC Vienna International Center. Please come to the exit towards Platz-der-Vereinten-Nationen, from where you can see the Tech Gate!
