What to expect from a tea bowl meditation

Its a personal journey between you and the tea and how you are feeling in the moment.

The tea will be from traditional harvesting from trees ranging from 300 to 1200 years old. These are not herbal beverages, its all from camellia species .The weather and circumstances will decide which teas are used on the day. Normally the first 3 bowls will be drunk silently then a mediation or discussion will follow. The tea assists to enhance physical, mental and emotional states and brings you into the current moment as you allow it.

Its a happy and simple session that can be approached with ease and awareness at whatever level of engagement anyone wishes to participate in. The more you open and allow the flavour and energy of the teas the finer the experience.

The session will be led by Kent Steedman from Tian He Healing Arts. Kent is and has been deep inside of tea for well over 12 years running Tian He Healing Arts as a gathering point for very fine tea and energy technology in Sydney. He is also a musician, meditator and energy worker for 30 plus years. This all combines in a focused but simple view of how this fits together without complication and in good humour.
