Yoga Hike: South Canyon Reach Loop

Details
đż Yoga Hike: South Canyon Reach Loop
Breathe in, stretch out, and hit the trail with us for a spirit-lifting yoga hike through one of Bendâs hidden gems.
Weâll kick things off with a gentle yoga warm-up on the grass at Riverbend Park to wake up our bodies and drop into the moment. From there, weâll venture out on the South Canyon Reach Loop, heading counter clockwise on the west side, a scenic 3.5 mile trek that winds along the Deschutes River.
Expect a little bit of everythingâsweeping canyon views, shaded canopies, and lush greenery that makes you forget youâre still in town. We'll be ushered by bitterbrush, rabbitbrush, juniper, Oregon grape, and if weâre lucky, dots of late-season blooms like fireweed or yarrow.
The loop features low elevation gain terrain with some uneven sectionsâthink roots, rocks, and narrow pathwaysâso sturdy shoes are a good idea. We'll pause at Conley Brooks Bridge for a quick breather and optional photo op before looping back.
Once we return, weâll wind down with a short yoga practice in the grassâno mat needed (but bring one if you like). Barefoot grounding is encouraged for those who want some high-desert earthing (or to simply feel grass between your toes).
