The Dora Canal is a little bit of tasty Florida wilderness tucked in among the homes along the canal between two very large lakes on what is known as the Harris Chain of Lakes. It's not a long paddle, but it is a visual treat. This is an easy, SUP friendly excursion, with less than a half mile stretch over open water. We will be paddling along a beautiful cypress lined canal and some residential waterways. This a round trip paddle, 2+ hours or so. Arrive at 9 am, launch at 9:30.
After the Sierra event, when we return, those who care to will get together for a patio lunch at a nearby Tavares restaurant.

This event is for intermediate paddlers.

DIRECTIONS:
Take 441 in Tavares to N. Sinclair Ave, turn south (left for most of you), stay on N. Sinclair to the large boat ramp parking lot.

DO NOT GO TO WOOTON PARK (where the seaplanes are). If you are at Wooton Park, take W. Ruby St. west to Sinclair Circle, then turn left into the big parking lot, ramp on the lake.
