Details

Dr Kit Prendergast is a native bee ecologist and renowned science communicator. Her PhD involved investigating the impact of honeybees on native bees and pollination networks, and the impact of urbanisation on native bees. Dr Kit’s research ranges from pollination ecology, to native bee ecology and behaviour, citizen science, critiquing methods for surveying pollinators and undertaking biodiversity assessments. She also performs on stage under the persona of ‘The Bee Babette.’

There will also be an 8-minute "Boffins’ talk" by Allan Willis on Insects of Walpole, as well as 'Thing of the month' and the 'Nature roadshow'.

Door fee is $3 per person for adult Club members ($0 for child members), and $5 per adult visitor and $1 per visiting child, to help with the costs of running the Club, venue hire, insurance and so on. Please bring the right cash to help us avoid long queues. Thanks. We do not have EFTPOS facilities yet.
Parking is free and plentiful.
