Walk-N-Talk ATX Kickoff!

Join us for the “Walk-N-Talk ATX Kickoff!”—a laid-back morning stroll where you can meet new people, chat openly, and enjoy the great outdoors in Austin! We’ve planned it for 9 AM to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures before the heat rises (the forecast indicates highs reaching the mid-90s or higher by the afternoon).

What to Expect: We’ll start by gathering as a group for brief introductions, then we’ll embark on a casual 45-60 minute walk along the scenic trails of Butler Metro Park. Feel free to engage in conversations about anything—life, hobbies, or whatever comes to mind. All paces and fitness levels are welcome; there’s no pressure—just positive vibes and the chance to connect!

Agenda:

• 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Meet near the Austin Central Library (710 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701—look for the group close to the entrance with a Walk-N-Talk sign, or check the group chat for real-time updates).
• 9:15 AM onward: Quick introductions (share your name, where you’re from, and what brings you here), followed by the walk starting from the park trails.
• After the walk: Optional coffee or additional chatting nearby.

What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water (I’ll provide a few bottles, but please bring your own to stay hydrated), sunscreen, and clothing suitable for the weather (check the forecast—it’s Austin, after all!). Friendly, leashed pets are welcome.

How to Find Us: You’ll easily spot us near the library entrance. If you’re running late, please message the group or organizer via Meetup.
