Rutland Water walk - 17 miles

Details
** NOTE DATE CHANGE TO SUNDAY 25 MAY **
I'm doing this walk mainly as a training day for the Hadrian's Wall walk event which takes place a week later. So hoping some of my Hadrian's Wall colleagues will join, though of course this event is open to any group members.
This is a complete lap of Rutland Water (but not the bit in the middle which would make it 23 miles!) - it's a beautiful walk, I've done it a few times before.
Of course, 17 miles is quite a distance so please consider that when deciding whether to attend or not. But we will take it gently, take our time and stop a few times on the way around - there are a number of cafes on the way around, also a great pub (see Photos).
You can buy lunch in the pub/cafes or bring your own
The walking surface is tarmac, mostly flat but there are some hilly bits. I can't recall any stiles as the route is also used by cyclists.
Parking at Whitwell is expensive (£16 for all day) so we can organise car-sharing to share the cost when we know the attendees.
Walking Friends has to pay monthly bills to meetup. Any help to cover these costs is appreciated. Contributions can be made on the PayPal link provided below. Select the pay a friend option and put Walking Friends in the note. Thanks in advance for your contributions.
