Join us for an evening walk around the river as we enjoy the spectacular East Perth/Burswood precinct: the cove, the stadium and Matagarup Bridge.
We should see a variety of waterbirds along the river including pelicans and osprey, and may even be lucky enough to spot some of the Swan River dolphins.
The walk starts at IGA supermarket East Perth. There's usually plenty of parking around the shops or even at CPP Regal Place 81-95 Regal Place, East Perth, though the long weekend could make it busy so allow extra time to park.
We'll walk along Royal St and then cross Claisebrook Cove via Trafalgar Bridge. Then we follow the path along the river to Graham Farmer Freeway Bridge, crossing it on the walkway.
Once across, we walk along the path by the river to Burswood Park by the Optus Stadium, where we turn and cross the Matagarup Bridge to the north side of the river and then back to our starting point.

After the walk, those interested can stop at the The Royal on the Waterfront for snacks/refreshments and a social chat.
