As the weather was so bad las5t week and only 2 people came along, here is another opportunity to do the walk which is safe at this time of year, which is my main concern.

To help me get back to leading walks again after my hernia operation, here is a short walk virtually starting on my doorstep. Nice and flat and a lovely cafe and embroidery centre to stop at mid way.

In this area we have a golf course, an Ecopark, a top quality rugby training ground, a walled garden, an embroidery display, the Thames, a mobile home park, a wonderful pub and some impressive houses. All of these will be seen or visited during a 2-2.5 hour, 5.5 ish mile flat circular walk.

The featured photo is the walled garden on 1st September and the flowers are not yet in bloom but you will see the potential. It is here that we will stop for up to 30 minutes so you can use the toilets, have a tea, coffee and cake or look at the garden or the embroidery display. the drinks are very good I am assured from comments on our previous visit!

We are starting outside the Harrow pub but please park in Hetherington Road, where there is lots of space and it is only a couple of hundred yards away and the road is far less busy. Do not use the pub car park which is very small and required by others!!

If the weather is nice, the beer garden is big in the Harrow and the food is excellent..

As the weather has been wet long trousers are advised as a couple of paths are slightly overgrown.
