A walk around St. Albans (Queens)

We’re going to take a walk around St. Albans, Queens, starting from Jamaica. This walk will be ~4.5 miles at a fast pace (~3.5+ MPH), stopping every few blocks to briefly read aloud from a guide book. Organizers will bring copies and we’ll all take turns reading.

Start: 10:30am, Sunday, August 17th, outside the Burlington store at 160-12 Jamaica Ave (~2 blocks from the E/J train, Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer, or ~5 blocks from the F, Parsons Blvd); we will only wait 5 minutes for any latecomers, so please arrive on time. There are several large stores near the starting point where you may find restrooms before the walk.

End: ~12:30pm, Merrick Blvd and Foch Blvd (from there you can take one of several buses ~15 mins to the E/J/F train, or consider visiting nearby Baisley Pond Park)
