Friends Beyond Boston – Waltham Social (20s–40s) is a local community built around genuine connection, small events, and welcoming spaces where people can actually get to know each other.

This is a community-led group. Members are welcome (never required) to host or co-host simple events with support, or help out behind the scenes, it’s how we keep things fun, varied, and shaped by the people who make this community special.

About this event:

This April marks 9 years of Friends Beyond Boston – Waltham Social, and for the first time, we’re celebrating that milestone together.

Nine years is no small thing. This community has grown, shifted, and evolved, shaped by the people who keep showing up — and this event is a way to pause, share a table, and enjoy what we’ve built.

For our first anniversary celebration, we’ll be gathering at Solea, one of Moody Street’s longtime favorites, known for its warm atmosphere, authentic Spanish flavors, and excellent wines and sangrias. 🍷

I worked directly with Solea’s private event planner to create an exclusive tapas-style experience just for our group, something relaxed, social, and easy to enjoy together.

We’re hoping this is the first of many special ideas we’ll bring to life as a community.

🍴The Experience

Instead of juggling menus and splitting checks, everything will be prepaid and ready to enjoy, so you can focus on conversation and connection.
Each guest will choose 3 tapas from a fixed selection, plus 1 dessert, all included.

Tapas Menu (Pick any 3 of 6):

Proteins

• Arepa y Carne – Arepas topped with beef, chimichurri, and avocado mousse
• Camarones al Ajillo – Shrimp in tomato garlic sauce with toast

Carbs

• Patatas Bravas – Potatoes with brava sauce, roasted garlic & lemon aioli
• Tortilla Española – Potatoes, onion, eggs, with shaved jamón

Veggies

• Espinacas Gallegas – Sautéed baby spinach with garlic, pine nuts & golden raisins
• Espárrago y Zetas – Asparagus with shiitake mushrooms, sherry wine butter & Manchego

We’ll be enjoying special group pricing, approximately 25% off regular menu value, arranged exclusively for this event.

Price: $45 per person

🔁 Refund & Ticket Policy (Please Read)
To support the restaurant’s planning and preparation:

• Full refund for cancellations made 7 or more days before the event
• No refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event or for no-shows
• Ticket transfers are allowed with host approval, provided the replacement RSVPs in advance
