A local organiser is kindly arranging a repeat of a very popular event, which he first ran two years ago: a scenic 6 - 7 mile walk from Old Windsor to Windsor, followed by a relaxing 90-minute boat trip returning to Old Windsor.

The walk follows much of the Thames Path, with flat terrain and beautiful riverside views. There is some roadside walking due to riverside buildings, and depending on the weather and group preference, an optional detour through Eton, via the college grounds and Eton High Street, may be included.

A short 10-minute stop is planned around Datchet, and the group is expected to arrive in Windsor around 1:30–2:00 pm. Attendees will then have a couple of hours free to enjoy Windsor at their leisure.

The organiser (Mike) and a companion plan to visit a well-loved Thai buffet (£12, optional lunch), but there are plenty of cafés and restaurants for everyone’s taste.

The boat departs at 4:00 pm sharp, and it is essential to be back in time. It is likely that light commentary along the way, sharing the history and highlights of the area, adding to the peaceful cruise back to Old Windsor.
Cost:
The combined price for the walk and boat trip is £23 when booked through the organiser, offering a saving on the usual £24.50 boat-only price on the day.

You're also welcome to wait until nearer the time to pay, but please note, availability may become limited closer to the date.
20 places have been pre-booked, but more can be added if needed. Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
