What we'll do
Our 12th and first ever English meetup will happen on the 23rd of April. This time we are welcoming Harry Roberts as our special guest speaker!
You will meet people out of all disciplines around the World Wide Web and hear some amazing talks by great speakers. As per usual, we will have you covered with food and drinks (until we run out).
All talks are in English and the event will last approximately for 3 hours (we will have breaks too). Afterwards, we'd love to hang out with you and talk over a beer or Bionade.
We also have about 5 minutes of time allotted for (spontaneous) lightning talks. So if you have something you would like to talk about, bring slides (if you want) and give your talk. We won't allow product- or company only presentations though. We are always looking for speakers! So if you have time and would like to present, let us know via email ([masked]) or on twitter (https://www.twitter.com/wearewebclerks).

➡️ Techniques to scale ux teamwork by Katrin Freihofner
On any meet-up or conference I attend, I overhear the same thing: developers and designers struggle to collaborate every single day. Although we all strive for the ultimate user experience, the way we approach it is very different.
The goal of my talk is to fix this by showing easy steps everybody can implement in their daily office life.
➡️ Variable Web Typography by Oliver Schöndorfer
Variable fonts will shape the future of web typography as they bring many advantages and new opportunities at a low file size. But with great possibilities comes great responsibility.
➡️ FaCSSt: CSS & Performance by Harry Roberts
Ahh… CSS and performance. Two of my favourite things! But how well do they play together? It depends… In this very matter-of-fact talk, we’ll be looking at all of the different ways CSS can make our websites faster or slower. From the common and perhaps more obvious, to the unusual and obscure ways in which CSS can impact performance for better or worse.
