The presentation for this meeting will focus on using, creating, and editing Scalable Vector Graphics files (SVGs). Often overlooked in the web design and development process, the SVG file provides an efficient method for including scalable graphics in your web content. We will explore the basics of creating SVG files, including using tools to create our file, as well as looking at the code that makes up an SVG file. We will explore the SVG tag and the variety of attributes that make up the components in an SVG graphic. We will look at some online editing and IDE tools for working with SVG files. Lastly we will explore SVG animation and take a look at some of the advanced features that an SVG file can offer.
