You can easily change the status if you know that you may not make it. This is important as we have to make prior reservations at the venue.
4. People arriving late may not be able to join in if we have already begun, as that ruins the flow and transitions around the tables. By allowing people to join late results in meeting the same person twice and missing out on others, which is unfair for those who arrive on time.
