Southern California Camper Van Meetup in Anza Borrego

Own a camper van? Join us for a three-day camp out in Anza Borrego Blair Valley dispersed campground. This casual Meet-up is for all camper van owners and enthusiasts. Either home builds or premade vans are welcome! This trip is focused on connecting with other van campers, camping, socializing, sharing ideas and best practices, and enjoying the outdoors. Blair Valley campground has some huge camping sites, however we are limiting the number of participants to 15 vehicles since we don't want too big of a group. This is a dispersed camping trip - there are no toilets or amenities.

I am working on possibly having some vendors join this meetup too! If there's a good turnout, we might get some freebies to give away!

Trip Details

• Dates: Friday, November 14th – Sunday, November 16th
• Group Size: Limited to 15 vans
• Group Age: Adults 21 y.o.+ are welcome
• Campsite: Blair Valley Campground, Borrego Springs, CA 92004

• Cost: Free - but you must have a van. Bring your gear, food, drinks etc.
• Departure Meeting Point: Scripps Ranch/Poway Park and Ride 12016 Scripps Highlands Dr, San Diego, CA 92131
• Departure Time: 8:00 AM, Friday if you want to leave as a group, but you are welcome to get there on your own. We will have a "Weekend Outside" logo posted at the entrance to our campsite so that you will know it's us.

What to Bring

• Camper van
• Food & drinks
• At least two bundles of firewood per person for community campfire
• Plenty of water

Trip Guidelines

• This is a fun, relaxed trip—no politics, and be respectful to everyone.
• Flexibility—you can join group activities or explore on your own.
• No kids (adults only), but friendly pets are welcome.
• You don’t have to stay the entire trip—come for as long as you’d like.
• I’ll be bringing an EZ-Up canopy for shade and group hangouts.
• There will be activities at the campsite (games etc.), we will be exploring the area on Saturday (for those who want to), or you can hang out with other campers - it's up to you!

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival

• Depart from Poway Scripps Ranch Park and Ride at 8:00 AM.
• The drive takes 1.30 to 2.0 hours
• Arrive at the campsite around 10:00AM
• We'll set-up camp and start camping, setup a campfire and a relax. Bring your own drinks, socialize and make friends
• Anza Borrego is perfect for star gazing

Day 2 – Saturday

• Explore the area
• Camp and relax, play games etc.

Day 3 – Sunday - Wrap up

• Wrap up and departure
