Foundations of Health and Wellness

There's a lot of information out there on what we should do, a lot of folks selling you quick fixes and a lot of conflicting information about what constitutes good health and wellbeing practices, what if I told you that it's actually pretty simple if we get out of our way and that your body and mind are actually designed to give you optimum health if we get out of our way, and the practice of that is not that hard, is that something you would like to know about?

"The global wellness economy has grown rapidly in the aftermath of the pandemic and reached a new peak of $6.3 trillion in 2023 (representing 6.03% of global GDP) with projection estimating that it will reach $9 trillion in 2028."

The common paradigm of the western medical model which has translated over to the health and wellness space is that there is a cure for every ill, some tonic, practice, supplement that will fix our ills. But it's probably closer to the truth that wellness is a subtractive process rather than an additive one. There are many societies in the world that are labelled "Blue Zones" where individuals in these areas live with little health problems and live active lives often into there 100's with little medical interventions.

What are the practices these people have that give them robust vibrant health well into their later lives? How can we implement them into our daily lives?, what are the things we are doing that are actively working against us? and perhaps most importantly what are being told by an industry that while well intentioned is driven by their bottom line, that could be harming us?
