Berko WW1 trenches 🪖 Alpine Meadow Circular Walk

3 separate events today! Breakfast @ 9:30, this walk & an Ashridge Estate/National Trust event after @ 14:00
Come along for this in its own right or join the other events too. (You can turn up as early as you like here as we will be in there anyway).

We leave at 10:30am prompt, from outside the Crown pub 👑 145 High Street, Berkhamsted. Park in Canal Fields car park 4 hrs FREE, or on a single yellow line on a side street, which is allowed all day on a Sunday in Berko (Check signs).
Please leave early enough, as you will need time to find a parking space and get to the rendezvous point in time 🚙 👍🏻

To start, we walk towards the castle 🏰 then through open fields and up towards the trenches. We will take a moment to remember the sacrifice that many have made for us ✝️
We then carry on along wooded paths and little tracks to the beautiful Alpine Meadow Nature Reserve 🐦 Then back through highly enjoyable ups and downs, with great views, to the canal where we’ll mooch back to finish at the Crown pub 🍺🍟☕️
Approx 6-6.5 miles. Will take roughly 2.5-3 hrs.
