It's fall y'all! Let's get out and enjoy some trail time before it gets too chilly. This is a dandy trail with some great views of the orchards and vineyards from about 1000 ft. up.

Though short, this trail is considered more difficult with some steep and rocky sections, mostly singletrack. The beginning portion of the trail will is shaded and it might still be pretty chilly so layer up. You will pass very closely to cliff edges. Make sure you have shoes with good traction. This is also a popular area for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. Well behaved dogs are welcome, just make sure they're cool getting up close and personal with other peeps and animals on a narrow trail.

Parking: Optimal spot is the official trailhead off Hwy 6 near the Colorado River, same place as the boat launch. There are bathrooms located at the trailhead and there's plenty of parking. If you park roadside right near the trail start, text and let me know so we don't miss you. Trailhead parking lot is just across the street and down a little and it's safer to park there.

Safety Disclaimer: I'm not a professional trail guide. Please review the trail map and details beforehand and make sure you feel comfortable navigating the terrain. We'll be hiking at a moderate pace. Bring a headlamp in case it gets dark before we finish-- this is not a trail you want to be navigating with your cell phone light. Recreate at your own risk and take whatever precautions make you comfortable. Let's hike, peeps!
