Elisabeth's 45th Birthday Party Potluck

Note: Please don't show up early. I am usually busy cooking/prepping/getting ready right up until when the party starts.

Bring a dish of food, dessert or bottle of wine or liquor. I ran a potluck group in NYC for over 10 years that had 1500+ members. Most people don't cook, which is fine, I usually prepare 4-5 dishes for each event. I'll update in the comments section later about what kind of food I will be making. NO POLITICS/POLITICAL TALK. We mostly like to hang out and listen to 60s music, indie rock and jazz and talk about music and other non-controversial topics (traveling, dating, what we do for work and fun, art, literature, film, fashion, etc).
Just a reminder, PROPER DINNER PARTY ETIQUETTE, please- I have these potlucks to have fun/party... this is not a debate club. NO DRAMA. Members/Guests who come here to Fight and Argue, engage in Disruptive/Divisive rhetoric or act Rude/Disrespectful WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. NO POLITICS...OR OTHER **********DIVISIVE TOPICS. No Political debates/fighting/arguing­... NO CULTURAL/ETHNIC/RACIAL/RELIGIOUS REMARKS/TOPICS/ISSUES/DEBATES either... thanks... Just cause it tends to lead to arguments, puts people on the spot and makes people uncomfortable, which is not the purpose of this group. It's really not what we had in mind for our lovely dinner party and has been a problem at times in the past. It's inappropriate behavior for the setting.
It's not considered Proper Dinner Party Etiquette (feel free to google that) and that goes double for when people are having random strangers in their house. Not the time and the place for that. Suffice to say, some People in the past blurted out all kinds of things and got a little... aggressive... with their rants. Bad apples can spoil the bunch. This is a laid-back, light hearted, RELAXED event... NOT A DEBATE CLUB
