Beach Walks, Seafood Feasts, and Fellowship Await in Fall Nags Head Retreat. We’re planning a two-week getaway to Nags Head, North Carolina, and you’re invited! Remember those beach walks, seafood feasts, and evenings on the pier? We’re doing it all over again. Frances Farr and John Sutton are hosting at Frances’s beach house from Sunday, October 26 through November 9. (getting back to Frances house 6:05 PM IF the planes are not late). Expect peaceful, fun, relaxation, and fellowship—whether on the beach, in the pool, or soaking in the hot tub. The house has five bedrooms available, each with 1–2 people per room, most with private bathrooms.
We’re back to a two week trip because the first week did not sell. The 3 room’s available are:
• Bedroom 1: One bunkbed (twin + queen), shared bathroom with John.
• Bedroom 2: One queen with a bathroom
• Bedroom 3: Two separate twins with a bathroom

Weather in Nags Head at this time is perfect for the beach, with highs in the 70s in to mid-to-upper 60s in early November. Ocean water is around 70°F and still pleasant as it cools into November. Give Thanks Together: WIH Thanksgiving a Feast of Gratitude and Fellowship.Join us Sunday, November 23, for Whole In Him Family Thanksgiving, a special celebration of faith, fellowship, and gratitude. We will be celebrating early because Frances will be out of town. Arrive at 2:25 PM if you want to catch the Broncos vs. Titans game on CBS, and feel free to use the ovens while we prepare for the evening feast. We will pray and eat at 6 PM. Water will be provided; please bring individual 7.5-ounce drinks if you wish. Frances and John will provide turkeys, and we invite everyone to contribute a dish to share. Suggested sides include: green salad, rolls, turkey gravy, stove top stuffing, whole cranberry sauce, jellied cranberry sauce, candied yams without marshmallows, apple cider, veggie trays, mashed potatoes, cranberry Jell-O salad with cream cheese topping, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie, and French vanilla ice cream with whipped cream. This is a celebration where we focus on what we’re thankful for, so please bring to the table a spirit of gratitude along with your dish! After the meal celebrate birthdays: Allen Black (Nov 17) Bundt cake, Angelia Stout (Nov 22) Creme cheese or cake with buttercream icing, Michele Hayes (Nov 25) Sweet Potato pie, and Pamela Orcutt (Nov 25) Pumpkin Supreme with Cheesecake. A Night of Christmas Joy
Experience the Christmas Story in Song and Scripture! Join us Sunday, November 30, at 4:30 PM to be there to get good seats for the 5 o’clock show. The Christmas Carol Sing along at Envoy Church, 2025 N Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs. This free concert, presented by One Voice Mission, retells the Christmas story through scripture narration, visual media, choir, and audience singing twelve of the most beloved Christmas carols of all time. Though admission is free, an offering will be received, so come prepared to give. The evening should conclude around 7 PM, and afterwards we’ll gather for Feliz Navidad dinner at at Last Palmetto’s Mexican Restaurant, 3589 N Carefree Cir, open until 9 PM. This will take the place of our regular Dinner & a Movie Night. As a dry group, we ask all participants to refrain from alcohol. Come enjoy a night of joyful music, fellowship, and community.
