PCT: Mt. Laguna to Cibbets Flat CG (SoBo/RT) 20 miles over 2 days

Day 1: Saturday November 8th 2025 - starting at Mt. Laguna visitor center parking lot (has a restroom), which is 0.8 mile north from PCT mile 41.5 Adventure Pass Needed to park there $5/day or $25/annual sold at the General Store which opens at 9am. Let's Meet at 08:30am but no later than 09:00am so we can start hiking at 09:30am . This will be a Southbound (SoBo) hike (downhill), with a return (uphill). We start by going through Burnt Rancheria Campground (CG) to join the PCT at mile 41.5. Starting elevation is 5,913 feet and dropping down to 4,157 feet to Cibbets Flat Campground, which is 0.8 mile off the PCT at mile 32.6, turn right onto Fred Canyon Road. Pit toilets and water spigots available. CG fee is $20 site or $40 for a double site which we will share. This is a shorter distance trip, we should arrive by 2:30pm - 3:30pm or 4pm if we stop for lunch. With daylight savings sunset will be around 5pm, so we can set up in the light, with dinner at picnic tables. I can conduct a gear shake down, discuss lightweight backpacking strategies and tell trip stories. Day 2: Sunday November 9th 2025, return NoBo 10 miles up hill to Mt Laguna. We are amateur hikers and do not have any outdoor leadership; navigation; safety; rescue; or first aid training or knowledge.
