Learn to play Mahjong Part 1/3: Tiles & Hands - at Jeanette’s Jan 7, 14, & TBD

I miss my mah-jongg games up in North Carolina. We don’t play for money, we just play for fun.

Several of our women have asked if I could give lessons in Mahjong. It usually takes a couple of times to learn, and I’m happy to teach an introduction to Mahjong here at my house. you will get to know the tiles, the Mahjong card and the 50 or so hands that change every year, and how to play in round robin fashion. Each session we will have some time to practice what you’ve learned in friendly open handed play.
This requires your commitment to attend ALL THREE lesson days.

I thought we would try to get a group together that plays every couple of weeks or so. I have one mah-jongg set so I can host up to four people.

If anyone has a mah-jongg set you can bring, we can take 6 - 8 people. This first time, let’s play at my home and we can share some light snacks.
If interested in the future, we will find other places that are fun to play at like a restaurant or club house or other folks homes.
I will have sets of four cards, so we could all play from the same card.
