While in Florida last winter, I found out about a fabulous new card game called Super Samba. It’s a type of Canasta that has a few extra speciall Canastas which are required before a team can go out (Canasta of clean 7s, One run of 11 cards in same suit, one run of 7 cards in a differentt suit, one wild canasta, etc.)

Please sign up to come if you have played some version of Canasta or Hand & Foot before. If you have any questions, call me! My telephone number will be in the private comments below.

We will limit today’s play day to 6 players initially. It’s actually pretty easy to learn if you’ve played any type of Canasta or Hand & Foot. We play as pair partners to make canasta sets and single suit samba runs of 7 cards, and one Super samba run of 11 cards.

We usually play two or three hands and it lasts about 3 hours. I will being a printed sheet of our Table Rules. Super Samba has been racing across the country having started in California, then made it to players in Chicago, and eventually down to Florida. I thought it would be fun to bring it to North Carolina and they are keeping warm this winter with SS
Seven decks of cards are used for a table of 4-6 players who play as two partner teams. I’ll bring the cards as well as card racks for each person and a three pile rotating card holder. Add a comment if you’re able to bring pre-shuffled set of seven decks.

Please be mindful of your RSVP as we count on you to attend if you say you will. My telephone number is in the private comments below if you need to reach me.
