SSSS King’s Park loop(7km)

The Summer Sunday Sunset Series (SSSS) is starting again. WMA will run this event every Sunday night from November to March. It starts with a 7km walk that finishes near Sunset with a picnic or food van in over 8 various locations around Perth.

This walk starts near Aspects and heads along Fraser Avenue then doing an internal loop through the park and returning along the escarpment. We should complete this walk just before the sun sets (7:12pm) over King's Park and as the city lights begin to dominate our cityscape. We finish near the war memorial and have a picnic.

Parking: There is plenty of parking in Wadjuk car park near the meetup point.
Picnic - What to bring: We will finish with a picnic. You can buy something, make something or improvise but don't hassle this is a social get together not a competition. Create a group and share if you like. BYO cold drink or a thermos of hot coffee, a chair or a picnic rug, mosquitos aren't usually a problem but take repellent(?) and a jumper. Expect temperature of 27°C at the start and dropping to 22°C during the picnic.
Where to find us: Meeting outside the Aspects/King's Park visitor's centre for a 5:30pm start. See pin drop.
Distance: Approx. 7km loop.
Difficulty: Mainly bitumen and dirt paths. Expect an easy walk but at a reasonable pace (5 to 6 km/h). We should complete the walk in just over an hour.
Toilets: Near Fraser's Restaurant.

We aim to set-off for each walk at the advertised time and as a general rule, we set off on-time for each walk.
