Where Do I Start? Breaking through the Career Stories that Hold Our Growth

Details

Whether you are in your first year of graduate school, exploring a career transition in industry, looking for your next job, or thinking of a promotion, chances are that you have heard and internalized multiple stories about yourself, what you can do, and the possibilities ahead. Many of these stories undermine what we imagine and envision for ourselves, silently pushing us to play small and safe due to fear and insecurities. Sometimes, the next step in our careers is right in front of us, but we are too caught up in these stories to face it and bet on ourselves.

In this interactive workshop, we will:

  • Reflect on key questions about what we want to achieve in our careers in the short and medium-term, and why.
  • Bring awareness to internalized stories that prevent us from making career moves.
  • Brainstorm next steps for you to move towards your career vision.

Event Schedule:
6:00-6:40pm : Socializing and Networking (food, and drinks provided)
6:40-7:40 pm: Interactive Workshop
7:40-8:00 pm: Questions
8:00-8:30 pm: Socializing and Networking
