Women In Games and Unity community

Details

We’d like to invite you to a joint event. Women in Game Development and Sydney Unity Game Dev joined forces to organise a meetup with female presenters. Our “Women In Games and Unity community” meetup will happen on 30th of November at Community Theatre at Microsoft Store, corner of Pitt St & Market St., Sydney.

Doors open at 6:30, talks start at 7 p.m.

The talks and presenters:

  1. Jody Toomey - games music composer, sound designer and producer at Strange Band Audio will make a presentation “The stereo field and its application in 2D and 3D games”, she’ll touch on a bunch of different implementation methods but mostly will focus on how it can be applied in Unity.

  2. Inga Pflaumer - an indie game developer will talk about making games with Electron and Fontend - Backend in Team management. With a web-version of table game Crows, created as a study project in 12 weeks by RMIT students, she’ll see how to plan the architecture for the game you creating and how to lead a group of people that see each other for the first time.

  3. Sarah Pulis - cofounder and director of accessibility services for Intopia. Do you want to still be playing games in your 60s and 70s? By then your vision and hearing might not be as good as it was or you might have arthritis. Come and hear more about how you can design and develop more inclusive games.

Please, note that the venue has a limited capacity, if you can’t attend, update your RSVP so waitlisted members have a chance to get your spot.

Also, the venue doesn’t provide snacks, so make use of late start and grab something on the way.

See you on 30th!
