The Friend - Discussion Group

"The Friend" tells the story of Iris, a writer, who is grieving the sudden death of her close friend and mentor, Walter. After his passing, she inherits his beloved Great Dane, Apollo, despite not wanting the responsibility. The film explores Iris's journey of adjusting to life with Apollo, finding solace and unexpected connection with the dog while grappling with her grief and confronting her own creative blocks. Starring Naomi Watts and Bill Murray.
