PRINCE HENRY CLIFF WALK!! (Part 1)
MY FAVOURITE GO-TO HIKE! π₯°ππ₯Ύπββ
Join us on the beautiful 8km point-to-point trail from Katoomba to Leura. Considered a moderately route, it takes an average of 3hrs to complete.
The Prince Henry Cliff Walk in Blue Mountains National Park is home to some of the best views in New South Wales!!
The trail starts at Scenic World in Katoomba and follows the cliff edge to the picnic area at Gordon Falls near Leura. You'll get to enjoy 20 lookouts and iconic scenery like views of Jamison Valley and the iconic Three Sisters from Echo Point Lookout as well as many waterfalls and cascades.

Fitness π₯Ύππ»ββοΈ:**
- Moderate- 8km point-to-point, with lots of stairs make this a good workout.
- We will take our time. We are as fast as our slowest walker π.
Transport:
Unfortunately, during June there are major rail works on the Western Line. But coach replacements are in place.
Β· 07:11am: π departure Central Station, Platform 18 (T1 Blacktown via Parramatta)
Β· 08.00am: arrive at Blacktown Station, Platform 2.
Β· Walk 4min to Coach Stop.
Β· 08:08am: π Stand N to catch 45BM express coach to Katoomba
Β· 09:25am: Arrive Katoomba Station.
Β· 09.41am*:* π Catch the 686 or 686B outside the Carrington Hotel for a 10-minute bus ride to Scenic World. (Bus departs every 10minutes).
Meeting:
- 10.00am sharp meet outside the entrance to Scenic World.
Route:
- 10.15am we will begin our walk on the Prine Henry Cliff Walk. Beginning 5 minutesβ walk from Scenic World.
- There are many places to stop and enjoy the view along the trail. Lots of lookouts and several waterfalls π²π³π.
- Once we reach Fossil Rock Lookout, we will break for lunch and have a quick break while looking at beautiful views π.
- From here we will continue our journey along the trail towards Leura.
- At Gordon Falls Reserve we will head back towards Leura via a 1klm walk through the lovely suburb to the town centre. Here you can catch the coach back to Blacktown Station. The coach departs every 10-15minutes.
For those who would like to stay after, we can stop for a meal and a drink and share pics of the day. There are some delicious places to eat in Leura ππππ.
What to bring:
- Good shoes for walking, preferably hiking boots and poles if required π, BYO lunch / snacks, water, weather-appropriate clothing.
- There are limited bathrooms and water bubblers along the route, so bring enough water.
