Welcome to Women's Mindfulness Nature Walks group! This group's intention is to empower each of us to develop a connection with Nature for the purpose of developing mindfulness and positive coping skills, in order to deal with all the many challenges we encounter on our life journeys.
Together, we’ll explore gentle mindfulness exercises, nature-based reflections, and shared support in a variety of peaceful outdoor settings. This woman-only group offers a safe space for grounding, renewal, and community as we deepen our connection to nature and to one another.
While this is not strictly an "adventure group" per se (there are plenty of those on Meetup!), there will be different levels of activities across a variety of outdoor activities (ie, local nature walks vs backpacking trips; a 1-2 hour paddle vs 2-3 days on the CT River), to offer a deeper connection with nature for those who desire that. Both the "gentler" activities and more immersive trips will always be woman-focused, and will address the psychological, developmental, social and other impacts that we are faced with.
