What is the "this"?

During this get-together, can we agree on a definition of murder, including how the words in the definition are applied?

Without giving it away, I have a pretty standard definition that I will propose. Each attendee is also welcome to present theirs. We'll work through each word in the definitions to see if it is possible to agree not only on the definition of murder, but to be able to apply it consistently to situations like abortion, euthanasia, war, and capital punishment.
