Hello there! Formerly the "Warrandyte WordPress Meetup", we've now changed our name to the Ringwood WordPress Meetup and moved to a more central Eastern location.
The location for this meetup is the Computer Room at the Central Ringwood Community Centre (last room, up the stairs). The community centre is located in Bedford Park, on Bedford Road, Ringwood.

Come along to the Ringwood WordPress Meetup. Each month we host a different speaker to talk about WordPress, the hugely popular open source blogging and Content Management System. Speakers and topics range from bloggers, to business owners, to graphic designers and developers. Some months we hold longer Q and A sessions. Bring your questions to every meeting though.

This month Anthony's talking WordPress Child Themes. We're going to discuss why you should use them, the benefits of using them and how you go about creating them. If you've ever wanted to tweak your theme and add a few css styles, you should definitely learn how to create and use a Child Theme.
Anthony Hortin, from Maddison Designs (http://maddisondesigns.com/), is a Designer & Developer who builds WordPress websites for a living. He's one of the co-organisers for the monthly WordPress Melbourne meetups and a co-organiser of WordCamp Melbourne, back in 2013. As well as a contributor to the official WordPress theme and Plugin Directories, he's also the author of the extremely popular Easy WP Guide (http://easywpguide.com/) WordPress manual.
