This will be a spectacular walk from Bellbrae to Point Roadknight near Anglesea via the Surf Coast Walk. This hike is timed to coincide with late winter wildlflowers, which will be starting to come out around this time.

The hike follows a spectacular stretch of coastline that includes dry sclerophyll woodland, diverse coastal heathland, massive rugged cliffs, wild ocean beaches and colourful rock formations.

After meeting near Point Addis, we’ll proceed along an inland section of the Surf Coast Walk, which eventually ascends on top of steep clifftops. We’ll then reach the spectacular cliffs at Point Addis, before walking along a long ocean beach and following a long clifftop section into Anglesea. Along the clifftop sections, there’s large sections of heathland where rare orchids can be appreciated.

We’ll then pass Point Roadknight, follow a wild ocean beach, where you can appreciate some stunning rock formations. The remainder of our hike is inland through the Anglesea Heath, where there should be wildflowers and potentially wildlife viewing opportunities. We’ll then catch a bus from Point Roadknight back to our starting point.
