Dating in Washington D.C. can be tough. After trying apps, speed dating, and singles mixers, I realized how hard it is to make real connections. Apps don’t show who someone truly is, speed dating feels repetitive, and mixers are often too loud and crowded to have meaningful conversations.
That is why I started Zebra Hour.
At Zebra Hour, you meet people through fun ice breakers. I ask questions like “City life or country life?” or “Want kids or no kids?” and you join your “herd” based on your answer. Just like that, you are connecting with people who share your vibe.
Once the ice is broken, conversations flow naturally and you can get to know each other on a deeper level. My hope is that Zebra Hour helps you find what you are looking for, whether it is a friend, a connection, or even a partner. 🦓🦓

Dating apps exhausting? Speed dating boring? Zebra Hour makes meeting singles more fun by hosting "herd" activities 🦓🦓🦓. Let your good boy or girl help you fetch more than just a stick… maybe even a date! 🐾 Even without a dog, you’re welcome—as long as you like them.
*Heavy rain may cause us to reschedule. I’ll notify everyone by email/text on the morning of the event, so please keep an eye out.*
We'll kick things off with some ice breakers to introduce both people and pups. Then, we’ll take a scenic walk along the Potomac River to Montgomery Park—and back! Once there, our dogs can stretch their legs and explore the dog park before we head home.
The full walk is about 4.5 miles and should take roughly 1.5 hours. Don’t worry, there will be public restroom stops along the way!
All dogs must be on leashes at all times!
What to bring:
