Cities can be difficult places for people of all abilities to access safely and easily. However, new technology and open source spatial information like OpenStreetMap can be of significant benefit.

Unfortunately, a lot of this data is patchy, out of date or inconsistent.

We want to dedicate this event to helping our mapping communities begin this process.

The first part of the workshop will be basic training in OpenStreetMap and an overview of the tasks. The second part will allow you to work together with other mappers to complete as many items as possible.

These will include adding information on the accessibility of tram stops and kerbs at road crossings.

Nourishment in the form of pizza will be provided! Vegan & vegetarian options will be available.

Many thanks to our friends over at OSGeo Oceania for sponsoring this event! They're a fantastic, active group in the geospatial arena who aim to foster the growth of the geospatial open source & open data community in the Oceania region. Find out more information here: https://www.osgeo.org/local-chapters/oceania/

Also many thanks to RMIT University for very kindly allowing us to use their space.
