Enjoy a nice and varied morning. Together we'll explore the backwoods, climb a tower, visit the boardwalk and nature center and leave the park on foot for a short hike on historic Pine Island, to the highest natural hill in Broward County. General Lauderdale on his horse will be waiting for us. A few barking dogs may take notice. Bring water and sun protection. Moderate pace, not slow but not fast. No pets.
Guests welcome, including young guests with their parents. Absentees will be listed as no-shows. Sign up only if you intend to attend.
Meet at 8:15 AM to 8:30 AM at Tree Tops Park, 3900 SW 100th Ave, Davie, FL 33328. Gate admission fee is $3.00 per car. After paying your fee, head left for about a half mile until you reach the park office and parking lot. Restrooms on premises.
