About us
Welcome to the Narragansett Chapter Young Members 20s/30s Meetup! This Meetup is sponsored by the Narragansett Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club (Joining this Meetup Group does not automatically make you an AMC member).
Our trip leaders host local hikes, bike rides, and social events aimed at outdoorsy 20-40ish years old. We offer activities throughout RI and surrounding areas both after work and on the weekends. Joining a YM activity is a great way to make new friends and explore the area's natural beauty.
The purpose of our Meetup is to introduce others to the wonderful outdoor opportunities offered by the AMC Narragansett Chapter Young Members 20s/30s. As a Meetup member, you have no obligation to join the AMC.But, if you enjoy participating in our events, we hope you will consider joining the AMC (https://www.outdoors.org/join-today?chapter=NA&campaign=70150000001EMs5AAG).
Please, only RSVP if you plan on attending the event. For the consideration of our leaders, we ask that you contact us if you have RSVP'ed and can no longer attend.
Our events are led by highly qualified, trained AMC volunteers who are always concerned about safety. They take every precaution to assure participant risk is minimized and fun is maximized.

Audience: 20’s & 30’sDescription: No trail shoes. No bug spray. Just flavor, laughter, and the joy of discovering something new. Because adventure doesn’t always require a backpack. Sometimes, all you need is a fork and the curiosity to discover what’s nearby. Join us for a culinary experience that goes beyond the plate. At S.E.A.L., we celebrate local flavors, the stories shared around the table, and the magic of connecting with genuine people in unexpected places. Each gathering is different. The menu changes, the location shifts, but the spirit stays the same: explore, savor, and live every adventure locally.
This time, we’re trading the forest path for fork and plate, and meeting at a local culinary gem in Rhode Island.
This month’s location: Xaco Taco is a Mexican restaurant in Providence that celebrates authentic Mexican street food with a modern twist, serving tacos made with fresh ingredients and handmade corn tortillas, dishes inspired by different regions of Mexico, and flavors that capture the warmth, tradition, and festive vibes of Mexican culinary culture in a relaxed, energetic atmosphere that invites you to savor every bite.
🥂 What to Expect: • A different restaurant every month — no repeats for at least 6 months • Small group vibes (max 10 attendees) • Everyone pays the ir own way • Open conversations, shared ideas, and trip inspiration Whether you're a foodie, a hiker, or simply someone who craves genuine connection — this is your space.
💬 Who’s It For? This is for anyone who’s hiked with us, is part of the AMC community, or shares our passion for nature, food, and connection. First-timers with the right vibe are also welcome — just bring your curiosity, kindness, and a love for good stories (and flavors). Whether you’ve walked one trail or ten with us, you’re already part of the family.
🔐 S.E.A.L. S.E.A.L. – Savoring Every Adventure Locally 🌊 A local circle for curious souls and flavor seekers.
Like the seal — graceful, playful, and always exploring — this group embodies:

A – Adapt Spontaneity is part of the adventure. We go with the flow and welcome the unexpected.
L – Local Rooted in our surroundings, we celebrate the people, places, and experiences right in our backyard.
Whether on two wheels, around a bonfire, or at a secret dinner table — we savor every step of the way.
