Join us for the next Psychology Talks, where we'll explore the topic of Solitude & Connection: being alone vs. being together.

What’s on the agenda?

  • Each evening will include a round of introductions (with a twist!) and a guided discussion on that month’s topic.
  • A safe space where we exchange our perspectives and experiences, learn from each other and connect with like-minded people.
  • If you’d like to spark your curiosity before the event, check out the questions below.

Questions

On being Alone:

• Which is more challenging for you personally: being alone or being with others? And why?
• Can you think of a moment when you consciously chose solitude? What did it give you?
• How do you recognise that you need time by yourself?

⸻

On being Together:

• What makes being with others energising for you
• When does connection feel genuine, and when does it feel more like social expectation?
• What do you need in order to stay connected to yourself when you’re around others?
• How do you recognise whether a relationship or interaction nourishes you or drains you?
• Who are your happiest memories with?

Practical considerations:

  • The event is free. Drinks amd food are at your own expense.
  • I ask that you arrive by 19:00 to ensure our conversations flow smoothly.
  • If your plans change and you can't make it, please remember to cancel in advance so that someone else who is eager to join can take your spot!

See you there!
