What we’re about
The Amtgard Kingdom of Westmarch comprises of 18+ groups in Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii.
Amtgard is a nation wide medieval / fantasy combat game, We use safe foam 'weapons' supplemented by a magic system, to chase each other down & joyfully whack each other every week. Open to ages 13 up (though usually people over 60 don't play - usually)
So stop playing WOW! Stand up from your table top game, leave behind your MMORPG, and have some good fun!

Amtgard is fun and silliness. We are an action oriented LARP that has chapters across the country. If you feel like checking out the rulebook, wonder over to California Amtgard's website at http://caamtgard.com/docs/ (but you don't need to look at the rulebook before joining us, we're happy to go over things in person!)
Members start arriving between Noon and 1pm; sparing and light games start about 1pm; real games go until we're tired.

Amtgard was founded in El Paso, Texas in 1983 and has since spread throughout North America and the rest of the world. With over ten thousand active members representing a diverse swath of humanity it’s safe to say there is something for everybody in Amtgard. Whether you’re a teenager in high school or an established adult you will be able to find an inviting peer group that is excited to welcome you to the game.
Our current meet up location is at University Terrace Park (369 Meder St. Santa Cruz CA) on Sundays from 12ish till we drop from exhaustion or have real life to tend too. We also have random fighter practice at random parks through the week that people post up so stay tuned.
