MT KEMBLA Bushy contour circuit and great coastal views from the summit
Details
Mar 22 MT KEMBLA A beautiful walk in the Wollongong area through the rainforest around Mt Kembla and a climb to the summit. Great coastal panoramas. Meet at the layby 'carpark' at Windy Gully (village).
To get there, drive to Wollongong via the Freeway and after descending Mt Ousley and passing the University, take the exit to the old Princes Highway (Hwy 60). Follow this to Figtree and turn right at Cordeaux Rd (there's a Mt Kembla sign), to Cordeaux Heights and Mt Kembla village.
Continue until Cordeaux Rd deviates to the left (it says “No Through Road”) at the start of Harry Grahame Drive. After 200 m or so there's a layby 'carpark' on the right and our track is almost opposite on the left. If you get to Windy Gully cemetery soon after, you've gone too far.
