Artist Community Critique Circle
Tuesday, March 10
Santa Fe Art Institute | 1600 St. Michael's Drive, Building #31
$8-15 fee, see link below
Join us for a monthly Community Critique Circle that provides essential access to a supportive and structured process for giving and receiving feedback on your creative practice. Whether you're developing new work, facing creative challenges, or seeking fresh perspectives, this facilitated space offers artists the rare opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue with other artists who understand the creative process. Referencing the proven framework of Critical Response Process®, you'll learn how to articulate your artistic intentions, ask meaningful questions about creative work, and provide and receive feedback that deepens your practice and advances your work.
About the Facilitator
Doza Mendoza (they/them) is a Santa Fe based artist, facilitator, and intimacy coordinator for the film and television industry. Their work seeks to build bridges across cultures of authority, gender, race, class, sexuality, and intersectional identities, with respect and empowerment for everyone involved. With degrees from both Stanford University (BA Communication, BA Film and Media Studies) and the University of Southern California (MA Communication Management), Doza delves deeply into communication strategies that seek to restore connections to work through miscommunications and resolve conflict. As a facilitator for art critiques at SFAI, they are centered in guiding participants through value-based feedback for an uplifting creative impact.
