Bob Turner's Track to Colo River (Day Walk) Hard, 9kms return.

Bob Turner's Track provides one of the easiest access routes into the spectacular wilderness that is the Colo Valley. We will do this event as 10km return walk.

The plan is to meet at The Colo Heights Service Station at 9.30AM, we will have time for a coffee before making the very short drive to the start of Bob Turners Trail which continues for 3kms before it becomes Bob Turner's Walking Track.

Over 4kms the track descends 300 vertical metres down to the Colo River, it is a rough track that is steep in parts and it is also a bit overgrown but eventually one is rewarded with views down into the valley before the river is reached. We will have plenty of time to sit on the large sandy beach to enjoy our lunch before we make the return trip back up the track to our cars.

For this walk you will need good shoes, your lunch and approximately 1.5 litres of water. Long pants and sleeves are recommended due to the somewhat overgrown track.
