Details
You wanted to do the Great North Walk?
In Part 3, we are continuing our way along the Great North Walk from Thornleigh to Berowra. This is a fantastic section that takes in the area around Hornsby and then the first part of Berowra Creek. You'll be rewarded with gorgeous bush and beautiful vistas.
This is a hard walk, due to distance and climbs! Only sign up if you have walked this distance on easier terrain previously. There are no good get out points except after about 10 km in Hornsby.
Grade: Hard due to distance and terrain.
Transport: We meet at the Thornleigh train station at 8:47 am. Check www.transportnsw.info for latest updates.
Fee: $10 fee applies to this event which can be paid in cash on the day or PayID (0478 953 035, Markus Wagner).
Equipment: Wear sturdy shoes, bring a jacket in case the weather turns, lunch as you will not be able to pick up food en route, snacks, sun cream, a hat and plenty of water (at least 2-3 l). There are few facilities along the way. Most importantly, bring a sense of humour, adventure and fun.
Get out points: One, around Hornsby. But we won't be able to walk to the station in Hornsby, you'll have to find your own way or call an Uber.
