Classic Grand Cliff Top Walk, Backwards! From Katoomba to Wentworth Falls
Details
Be prepared for incredible views!
This walk links several previously unconnected tracks including Prince Henry Cliff Walk, Pool of Siloam, Lillians Bridge, Valley of the Waters, Eagles Nest, Undercliff Track, Weeping Rock and Charles Darwin walk.
We will start at Katoomba Train Station (meet outside the train station on southern side) at around 9.30am sharp (a train leaves Central at 7:24am from Platform 5 and arrives at Katoomba Station at 9.24am).
From here we will make our way to Echo Point and follow the tracks passing through countless lookouts, waterfalls, ups/downs and underneath one or two interesting rock overhangs.
On the way to Wentworth Falls, the route takes in views over the Jamison Valley towards Mount Solitary, with elevated views of the Three Sisters, Katoomba Cascades, Gordon Falls and Wentworth Falls. The track meanders through diverse flora and fauna that call the dense rainforest ecology home.
There is the opportunity to exit the walk halfway at Leura and at some other places too.
We will aim to finish by 4.30pm at Wentworth Falls, from which we can catch a train back to Sydney.
